Tidal Bore Q&A
View the tidal bore with a member of the Sentinelles Petitcodiac Riverkeeper team this summer! We will be ready to answer your questions about the history and ecology of the phenomenal Petitcodiac River.
Join us following the Tidal Bore for a free walking tour to dive even deeper into the rich history of the “Chocolate River”. Participants will learn about the river’s history and ecological importance while walking directly next to the beautiful chocolate river.
We’ve carefully designed these tours to show visitors every important aspect of the river, from it’s rich Acadian and Mi’kmaq culture to the phenomenal natural values. Our guides will lead you along the Petitcodiac River and explain how the river was gone from one of the most endangered rivers in Canada to one of the most successful stories of restoration. We also provide participants with the tools to be actively involved in creating a healthy ecosystem in their neighborhoods. Our free guided tours are approximately an hour to an hour and a half. We will be walking a few kilometers on the trail, so don’t forget to wear some comfortable shoes. Any questions? Contact info@petitcodiac.org for more information!
